Healthy Diet and Exercise Keeps Diabetes Away

A healthy diet and adequate exercise can help prevent Diabetes, according to a latest study conducted by researchers from the Hospital Universitari Arnau de Vilanova in Spain.

A review of eight studies indicated that a low fat diet, high in fiber coupled with exercise help in reducing the risk of developing Diabetes Type 2. This was revealed by Dr. Didac Mauricio one of the researcher.

Those who took part in the study lost weight and the circumference of the waist also got reduced. Their blood pressure levels also improved. Dieticians and exercise physiologists assisted the participants to lose weight and keep fit.

In a review conducted by Lucie Nield of the University of Teesside as well as colleagues in England felt that a diet rich in fruits and vegetables and low in sugar content reduced the risk of developing Diabetes Type 2
