It is not been found how to prevent type1 diabetes. However, there are some tips for preventing
type 2 diabetes. They include:

Control your weight by eating a healthy high-fiber and low-fat diet.
Exercise regularly and before you start your exercise regimen consult your doctor.
Keep alcohol consumption low.
Quit smoking.
Take medications as per the doctor’s prescription if you are suffering from high blood pressure along with diabetes.
Maintain a healthy weight.
Increase your physical activity levels. Do moderate vigorous activity for 30 minutes a day.
Drink plenty of water that is required for your body and reduce the intake of salt.
Keep your skin supple and hydrated to avoid cracks and sores that can get infected severely.
Brush your teeth and floss them twice a day.
The feet should be washed and examined daily, looking for small cuts, sores, or blisters that may cause problems later.
